Our lab has participated in

microwave international new media art festival

a view from my hotel room in Hong Kong

friends took me to a restaurant where Wong Kar-Wai shot

all time my favorite 'in the mood for love'

all the buildings there were so dense and clustered that

the lights coming out from the rooms become a beautiful illumination of the city

an exhibition at Hong Kong Design Institute

forgot to take a photo of Hong Kong style tea

it was one of the best tea I have ever had!

five start cafe nakameguro

I had such a lovely weekend with rieko

The weather was perfect for walking around the river side in Nakameguro.

We found many little shops behind the high street of Daikanyama as well.

Meguro area have got a very different atmosphere from where I live.

Things are more sophisticated there in a sense but it is also just like any other cities.

Though, it's always nice to have a girly time with old friends in a little hip area like that.

I got all these brilliant recipe books

from a card board box

outside of my neighbor's house

saying "please take them for free"

once, I saw they put used socks in it...

it's so common in this area to do that

sometimes, wasted wooden bars

sometimes, citrus from their gardens

sometimes, old stationaries...

I'm excited about what's coming next!

"elegant beast" in English

Mashiko in Tochigi was a fantastic place to visit during the golden week.

many of their houses were affected by the earthquake so

they were worried about hosting this year's mashiko pottery festival

but fortunately there were so many people came to the event.

I had such good time there shopping and tasting fantastic pizza made by a

beautiful Italian - Japanese couple at their studio's garden.

I'm collecting tear drops and stories behind it from people

for my project called "tear mirror - jewel"

for an exhibition in Kyoto.

Collected tear drops will be crystalized

to become Japanese traditional sweets called Kohaku (amber)

to be tasted, worn and shared with our loved ones.

On the way to work I saw a sign said "a bazaar for Nepal"
so I made a detour to a garage immediately found these shoes.
They are all my size and costed 1$ each!
I can't stop loving my neighborhood.
It has a shitamachi feeling but with a bit of elegance and intelligence
I can see stone monuments of great writers lived in this neighborhood everywhere
I should start reading their books again
and enjoy imagining what about Bunkyo ward inspired them...
Also, I like how full of cute local cats walking around and chilling out under the sun.

I watched a film called "Woman born twice" directed by Yuzo Kawashima created in 1961. All the kimono that they wear in the film were breathtakingly beautiful. Each time I watch old Japanese films, I learn how Japanese woman were elegant in terms of the way they speak, little gestures in daily life and how they treat man!

I went to the 21st century museum in Kanazawa to experience James Turrell's gas works after 6 years. It was still incredible and breathtaking experience... They told me that I'm so lucky to experience it twice in my life, as it had not been shown to the audience for last 6 years.

I also saw a show by Peter FISCHLI（1952-）/ David WEISS（1946-）

super playful and made me giggle all the time. Highly recommended!

I went to see Rebecca Horn's exhibition at MOT. I always love her poetic usage of technology.
You need to be patient to notice some subtle movements of the objects, but that's part of the experience.
